Chapter XI

Morning of Day 12:

1st full day Kina traveling with goons

While everyone was able to take a much needed breather, while awaiting if they are all ready and prepared to do their last training maneuvers except for Leah, Idor was working with her. He wanted to see how well she could mend wounds and broken bones, and to get her in a little bit of training with a short sword. The rest were to train and do combat on horses and also so Zam and Taren could do some training exercises to better prepare them for the joust within 5 miles from the training area.

Trevor and Belle went first and had a half day of doing this since they had to get in touch with their parents and see if they had to do anything before the joust and possibly to see if they could at least rendezvous with the others before they headed off with Feron back to the village square housing area where they live about 10 miles from the training area. They also offered to bring back what the others needed for the joust and whatever them and Feron could carry for their part in the battle that would happen fairly soon.

Late Afternoon

Since Trevor is such a gentleman he lets Belle go first, then he starts; then Feron. Their tale each takes about two miles while Feron’s the remainder till they get outside their respective house since by then they know parent’s at home.

Belle to Trevor wanting her to talk a little bit about where she came from and her family,

“I have no idea why you want to know so much about me?”

Trevor: “To get to know you better and to really know the real you. And of course to pass the time, if that’s alright with you?”

He added the quip to make her feel at ease, it apparently does so she speaks:

“I suppose…Well my father owns the Golden Chalice and has a small place above it, so he hardly goes out, but he might just for the joust that’s in a few days. I may get the day off if I don’t have to work or business is slow; and we just close for the day. I recently found out that I have a brother who’s five years older, but I didn’t know about it till I moved out on my own at 15. My mother left us when I was 7 to live with my uncle and who I thought was my cousin, and that’s when dad bought the bar. When I went out on my own I have been living there for two years, going on three. I always thought that James, my brother was my cousin, but when I got a letter from my mother; who I haven’t heard from in 11 years.
